We built the taproom from reclaimed barn wood and windows salvaged from a church in Sydney that was being torn down. There are wooden benches, string lights strung between the spruce trees, a wood stove for cold days, and a patio that looks out over the Bras d'Or Lake through a gap in the canopy.
Order a flight at the bar, grab a seat by the fire pit, and let the kids run around on the grass. There's no TV, no Wi-Fi password on the wall, and the cell signal is patchy at best. That's by design. You came to the woods — enjoy the quiet.
Groups of 8+ are welcome but please call ahead so we can set up the long table. Private tastings and brewery tours available Thursday through Sunday — just ask at the bar or book through our contact page.

Try a 4-beer flight ($14) or order pints of anything on tap. We usually have 8–10 beers pouring plus one cask-conditioned option. Take-away cans and growler fills available at the bar.
The outdoor patio seats 40 and the fire pit runs every evening from May through October. Bring a blanket for cooler nights. The sunset through the trees is worth the drive alone.
Free 30-minute tours on Saturdays at 1 PM and 3 PM. Walk through the brewhouse, see the hopyard, taste grain from the mash tun, and learn how spring water becomes beer. No reservation needed.
Local musicians play the patio stage every Saturday from 3–6 PM, May through September. Past acts include fiddle players, folk trios, and the occasional sea shanty crew. No cover charge.
Book the taproom for birthdays, rehearsal dinners, or team outings. Capacity 50 seated, 80 standing. Includes dedicated bartender, beer package, and optional food. Email us for pricing.
Grab cans, bottles, merch, and gift packs at the retail counter by the entrance. We also sell local cheese, charcuterie boards, and honey from a beekeeper down the road.

Take the Trans-Canada (Hwy 104/105) toward Sydney. Exit at Baddeck (Exit 8). Turn right onto Hwy 205, then left on Timber Ridge Road after 3 km. Follow the gravel road to the end — you'll see the brewery sign on the right.

If you're driving the Cabot Trail, Baddeck is the natural start/end point. We're 15 minutes outside town — a perfect first or last stop on your loop.
Free gravel parking lot fits 30 cars. Overflow parking on the grass field during events. Accessible spots near the entrance. Bikes welcome — lock up by the hopyard fence.
Our small kitchen serves simple food made with local ingredients. The menu changes with the season and whatever the garden gives us that week. We don't try to be a restaurant — just good food that pairs well with beer.
