For event bookings and private tastings, please include your preferred date, group size, and any dietary requirements. We try to accommodate everything but it helps to plan ahead, especially during summer season when the taproom books up fast.

No reservation needed for regular taproom visits — just show up during open hours. For groups of 8+ or private events, please contact us in advance so we can prepare the space and make sure we have enough staff.
Absolutely. Dogs are welcome on the patio and the lawn area. We keep water bowls by the entrance and the fire pit. We only ask that dogs stay on leash inside the taproom building. Most of our regulars bring their dogs — it's part of the vibe.
Currently we ship within Nova Scotia and New Brunswick (free shipping on orders of 12+ cans). We're working on expanding to PEI and Ontario this summer. Each province has different regulations for direct-to-consumer alcohol shipping, so it takes time to get licensed.
Not yet. We're a small operation and we prioritize taproom and direct-to-consumer sales. You can find us at a handful of restaurants and bars in Halifax and Cape Breton — check our social media for the current list. NSLC listing is on our radar for 2027.
Yes. We're certified organic through ACORN (Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network). That covers our grain, hops, yeast nutrients, and cleaning products. Annual inspections verify our entire supply chain. It costs more and it's harder to source, but it's non-negotiable for us.
Yes — bring your own clean 64oz growler (or buy one of ours for $8) and we'll fill it with anything on tap. Growler fills are $16–$20 depending on the beer. Best consumed within 48 hours of filling for peak freshness.
The taproom building and main patio are wheelchair accessible with a gentle ramp at the entrance. The accessible parking spots are closest to the door. The forest trails are not wheelchair accessible (natural terrain with roots and inclines). The indoor washroom is fully accessible.
We've hosted several rehearsal dinners and small wedding receptions (under 50 people). We don't have the infrastructure for large weddings (no dance floor, limited indoor capacity), but for intimate celebrations, it's a beautiful setting. Contact us to discuss your vision and we'll let you know what's possible.
We work with a small number of restaurants, bars, and specialty food shops across Nova Scotia and Cape Breton who share our values around quality and local sourcing. If you're interested in carrying Walk in the Woods beer, we'd love to hear from you.
We deliver within Cape Breton weekly and to Halifax bi-weekly. Minimum order is one case (24 x 473ml cans) per SKU. We provide tap handles, glassware, and menu descriptions for draft accounts. All our beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized, so it needs to be kept cold — we only partner with accounts that can guarantee proper cold chain storage.
